Daniel Bernhardt Returns in Thrilling Deathstalker Reimagining. ⚔️

Iconic martial arts actor and action star Daniel Bernhardt, globally recognized for his roles in the "Bloodsport 2", "Bloodsport 3", and "Bloodsport 4: The Dark Kumite" sagas, is back on the big screen, headlining a thrilling reimagining of Roger Corman’s classic sword and sorcery series: Deathstalker. This new installment promises to immerse audiences in a deeper and darker fantasy universe, filled with astonishing creatures.

Currently being promoted by Raven Banner at this year's Cannes Film Festival, the new Deathstalker film is directed and written by the talented Steven Kostanski, acclaimed for his work on cult movies like "The Void" and "Psycho Goreman". Kostanski's vision departs from the original films, opting for a richer exploration of the fantasy setting and populating it with monsters brought to life primarily through elaborate costumes, prosthetic makeup, and the fascinating technique of stop-motion animation.

Despite his success in the direct-to-video market, Daniel Bernhardt has maintained a steady career in the film industry, participating in both independent and big-budget productions. His filmography includes such notable titles as "The Matrix Reloaded" (2003), "John Wick" (2014), "Logan" (2017), "Atomic Blonde" (2017), "Kill ’em All" (2017), "Hell Hath No Fury" (2021), and the recent "The Matrix Resurrections" (2021) and "Extraction 2" (2023).

Joining Bernhardt in this epic adventure is a cast of accomplished actors, including Patton Oswalt ("Absolute Dominion"), Nina Bergman ("Hell Hath No Fury"), Christina Orjalo ("Astrid and Lilly Save the World"), Paul Lazenby ("Allegiance"), Conor Sweeney ("Father’s Day"), and John Clifford Talbot ("Girl").

According to reports from Screen Daily, while the original Deathstalker films capitalized on the popularity of John Milius' "Conan the Barbarian," Kostanski's new vision will place a greater emphasis on exploring the fantasy genre, bringing fantastic beings to life through practical special effects. To complement the film's release, Vault Comics will produce a Deathstalker comic book series, further expanding this universe.

The production of Deathstalker is handled by Hangar 18 Media, with Pasha Patriki, Avi Federgreen, and Michael Pazst as producers. Executive producers include Andrew Thomas Hunt, James Fler, Josh Viola, and Peter Kuplowsky, along with the legendary Slash from Guns N’ Roses and Rodrigo Guidño of Berserkergang Films.

The original 1983 Deathstalker proved to be a commercial success, especially in the video market, leading to several semi-related sequels, including "Deathstalker II: Duel of the Titans" (1987), "Deathstalker III: The Warriors from Hell" (1988), and "Deathstalker IV: Match of Titans" (1993).

Currently, the new Deathstalker is in the post-production phase, so a trailer is expected to be released in the near future. Fans of sword and sorcery films and followers of Daniel Bernhardt have reason to be excited about this new chapter in the Deathstalker saga.
